Nahal Lotz is formed between Mahmal Ridge and Lotz Mountains. The name of the river is derived
from the Arabic word LOZ which means Pistachio in
Arabic. Our tour begins in Arod Ascent on the western part of Ramon Crater and it follows the
river until the Egyptian border. Along the route we will see
many Pistacia Atlantia
( Elot in enrew ) trees that grows here and we will also discover: a green desert, lots of nature, remnants
of ancient agriculture, water cisterns and ancient graves and the most southern fort from the Israeli period.
