From Mitzpe Ramon continue South on Rt 40 until you reach the road sign Ammonite Wall' just outside of Ramon Crater. Park by the sign and begin your hike from here. The hiking trail is marked red and it will lead you straight to the Ammonite Wall. The Ammonite Wall is actually the Ramon Crater outer wall. It contains large concentration of Ammonite fossils which were large shells that were extinct ath the same period as the dinosaurs. The Ammonite had a large shell which enable it to float like a submarine by filling its chambers with water or air.
